Multi Cyclone Pool Filtration

MultiCyclone is a pre-filtration device that is capable of saving water and reducing filter maintenance.

The MultiCyclone works on the basis of centrifugal water filtration. There are no moving parts to wear and tear, and no filter media to clean or replace

MultiCyclone is ideal as a pre-filter, extending the life of your existing filter and cutting water consumption as it eases the workload on your swimming pool filter.

Reduce backwash frequency

MultiCyclone + Sand (granular) filter = Reduction in backwash frequency + Extends the life of the filter media

The reduction in backwash frequency of a sand filter could result in the savings of up to 5,000 litres of water per year
for an average domestic swimming pool.

Centrifugal filtration

• Incoming water enters 16 hydro cyclones tangentially, generating a strong centrifugal effect.
• The sediment is spun out to the hydro cyclone’s wall, and then spirals down to the sediment bowl.
• The filtered water migrates towards the center of the hydro cyclone where the flow reverses and spirals upwards through the outlet.
• Accumulation of sediment can be visibly monitored through the MultiCyclone’s clear sediment bowl.
• The MultiCyclone is easily cleaned by opening the valve. Only 15 litres of water is discharged to cleanse the MultiCyclone.
• Reducing bushes are available for 1.5" and 5mm

MULTICYCLONE & FILTER MEDIA The Multicyclone Plus has all the benefits of the ever popular Multicyclone with the addition of a 40ft2 cartridge filter located in the upper housing. Incoming water enters the hydrocylones tangentially, generating a strong centrifugal effect. The sediment particles are then spun out to the hydro cyclone’s wall, and spiral down into the sediment chamber. The filtered water then migrates towards the centre of the hydro cyclone where the water reserves and spirals upwards and through a 40ft2 cartridge element before exiting the Multicyclone Plus. The addition of the cartridge element provides the highest standard of filtration possible with very little need for cleaning. The majority of the sediment is removed by the hydrocyclones. The sediment level can be visually monitored through the Multicyclones clear sediment bowl. The pressure gauge located at the top of the unit indicates when the cartridge requires cleaning. The cartridge can easily be removed by undoing the locking ring.
